MathCat Terms of Use

Last updated: 14 April 2026

Welcome to MathCat. These Terms of Use explain the rules for using our website and services. By creating an account or using MathCat, you agree to these Terms.

1. About MathCat

MathCat is an educational maths practice website designed for children and their parents or guardians. Parents create and manage accounts for their child or children, and may use the service to view learning progress and reports.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be a parent or legal guardian to create and manage a parent account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure.

3. Child profiles

Parents may create one or more child profiles. For each profile, MathCat may ask for an alias, grade, and school information to personalise learning and track progress. You agree not to enter a child’s real full name or other unnecessary identifying information unless we specifically ask for it.

4. Use of the service

You agree to use MathCat only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the operation of the website or other users’ experience. You must not attempt to access data that does not belong to you or use the service in a way that could harm children, other users, or the platform.

5. Learning content and reports

MathCat may generate practice questions, track answers, save scores, and provide progress reports to parents. Reports may include performance by topic, subject, difficulty level, accuracy, and other learning metrics. These reports are part of the service.

6. Intellectual property

All content, design, software, logos, text, and materials on MathCat belong to MathCat or its licensors unless otherwise stated. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We may also change these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may provide notice where reasonable.

8. Disclaimer

MathCat is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we aim to provide accurate and helpful educational content, we do not guarantee that all content, reports, or recommendations will be error-free or suitable for every child.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MathCat is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
